This site is run from Japan. The goal is simple: help home cooks outside Japan find the kitchen tools that Japanese households actually use, and avoid the ones that only look Japanese on the box.
How products are chosen
Recommendations are based on what is popular and well-regarded in Japan, Japanese-language reviews and buyer feedback that most English-speaking shoppers cannot read, and the reputation of the maker. Where a product is genuinely made in Japan, the guides say so. Where it is a Japanese-style product made elsewhere, the guides say that too.
